I am getting below error while login in IS:
Information Steward Repository could not be initialized (Cannot connect to the Information Steward repository. (COR-10126)). Contact the administrator. (ADM-10034)
I am using Administrator login to log in to IS which has all the rights.
I have already configured Job server with IS repository and it is in running status.
However,
when I checked in CMC:
Application -> IS ->Configure Repository :: It is having correct details and saving without any error.
Application -> IS -> View DataServices Job Server :: It is throwing me below error while clicking.
Information Steward Repository could not be initialized (Cannot connect to the Information Steward repository. (COR-10126)). Contact the administrator. (ADM-10034)
There is no job server available. (ADM-10032)
Is there any place in CMC where I have to register jobserver?
My IS was working fine few days back but suddenly stopped working so I am assuming that some services are not started hence giving error.

Scorecard error: Index: X Size: X
We have a Data Insight Project with 4 Key Data Domains with dozens of rules each. WhenI go into "Scorecard" view I immediately get an error showing the attached message. (sometimes the numbers change, I got Index: 15, Size: 15 and Index: 3, Size: 3 at different points). Once I click ok on the error, I can proceed to review the scorecard results and the error is only re-created when I click on 1 of the 4 KDD. The major problem is that the scorecard summary view (and the "Share" links) will not generate, it just shows a blank screen. The only way I have found to eliminate this error completely is to delete the entire KDD causing the errorand re-create it, which destroys all scorecard history and takes a lot of time.
We had this happen a few days ago after a task failure, but I re-created the KDDs that were corrupted and it was fine for 1 day, and then today again we have 1 of 4 KDD corrupted, all rule and scorecard calculation tasks finished successfully in the last 24 hours, so I have no idea why I show up again this morning and it is corrupted?
Has anyone seen this error before?
I submitted a support ticket to SAP 2 days ago and have not heard back.
We are running Info Steward 4.2 (14.2.1.220).

I am busy with a project profiling SAP ERP source data, using SAP Information Steward 4.2, SAP Data Services 4.2 and Information Platform 4.1. We are currently working in the DEV environment.
I would like to know what the performance impact will be on the SAP ERP system, if we had to apply profiling in the Production environment.
I have gone through the Information Steward 4.2 documents and it does NOT mention anything regarding performance impact on the source system when conducting profiling directly on a source system such as SAP ERP. Does anyone have SAP official information on this?
Would really appreciate your help in this regard.

Unable to see .UNX Universes in IS 4.1 SP2
Hello,
My customer is unable to see .unx type universes in Information Steward 4.1 SP2, but is able to see the .unv types.
I have seen this issue posted a few times and it is referenced in the version's release notes, but I can't find a SAPNote or solution anywhere. I assume a patch or note needs to be applied, but I need a specific solution.

Issues/Errors with BW/ECC Sources
Hello,
I am on client site and we are having a difficult time resolving, or even isolating the issues we are facing with BW/ECC sources in Information Steward.IS is version 4.1 SP2.
The connections have been successfully established and validated to both the BW and ECC source system, but the client is experiencing issues when trying to view/import objects from these sources.
Can someone please advise on the following issues? The client needs this resolved ASAP.
Issue 1 - (ECC Source) An error occurs when trying to access extractors (Please see attached screenshot!)
Issue 2 - (BW Source) Extractors are not visible when fully expanding their parent folders to lowest level. 'Tables' folder does not appear as it should (Please see attached screenshot!)
The Functions (files) are the correct version and appear to be installed properly.
If anyone can shed any light on either of these issues, please advise. You would be doing this project and myself a great service.

Scorecard Filtering
Hello,
I am working with IS 4.1 and there are some requirements to create separate scorecards by certain data areas. For example we would have an overall scorecard for all the rules. Then we would like to be able to filter the data by region, division etc at a high level.
The only way I can think of to accomplish this would be to create additional views with the specific filters and bind them to the rules. Then select those filtered views as the bindings in the scorecard. This however requires maintenance at several levels, additional views, rule bindings and scorecard bindings. Being in a large business there are far too many different views of the data required to have to create separate views and then bind all of the hundreds of rules to those views just to create a separate overall view.
Is there a way to create the scorecards at different data levels without having to modify view/rule filters? This would be very helpful since users will want to slice and dice the data to get different overall pictures of the data quality based on rule results.

Installation of IS 4.1 SP1 in distributed environment
Hello,
My server landsacpe is as below -
Server 1 - BOE 4.0 SP4, DS 4.1 SP1 APS services, DS 4.1 SP1Management Console
Server 2 - Full DS 4.1 SP1 install
Server 3 - MS Sql server dataase
I was expecting to do a "Primary" install on Server 2 so that all my EIM components reside on the same box along with DQ cleansing packages, but since it does not have any BI or IPS installed, install is getting errored out. I really doesn't want to do primary install of IS on Server 1, becasue that will also require installing DS 4.1 SP1 Job server component on that server.
So what are my options in this case?

Data Services and Information Steward Relationship
I am new to Information Steward. I am trying to understand whether
SAP Business Objects data services part of Information Steward or not?
When I read documentation on Data Services it seems it
includes similar things as Information Steward for quality management. Looks
like, at some point SAP decided to make a new product called Information Steward?
Is it correct, so what is in Information Steward that is not in Data Services
and same the other way (what is in Data Services which is not in Information
Steward). My company is going to set Information Steward next year, want to get
an idea what it covers?

Unable to access the Web server. (MUI - 10039)
Error while logging in into Information Steward.
Referred SAP Note#1728215 and all the services in Enterprise Information Management Services are in Enabled state.
We have two servers (say A & B) under active cluster and when it hits the Server A while loging in, the error pops up.

SAP IS Option : for getting more than 500 rows in output
Folks, Can anyone tell me if there is a work around to get more than 5oo output/failed rows in IS for Data insight ( Data Quality & Profiling ) ??
Is there some setting we need to perform in CMC or probablly if some patch deployment needed ?

InformationSteward 4.2 and compatibility

we're having this error message when I'm trying to view Lineage in Bilaunchpad:
"This functionality requires SAP Information Steward 4.2 or later installed on a remote server and configured for the BI launch pad. Refer to the SAP Information Steward documentation to enable this feature (http://help.sap.com/bois42)"
SAP finally released the version of Information Steward that is fully compatible with SAP BI 4.1 and it really works, but now this... I do not understand - is it so complex to develop tools that are normally compatible and customers do not have to install this on separate machine and view lineage from Information Steward?
At the moment there is no chance to use Data Lineage in BiLaunchpad, only from Information Steward interface...

Unable to view the rule bindings for rules created in Data Insight
I had created a rule in Data Insight module and bound to a view imported from the source database.There are two parameters used for the binding. One is of type double and the other is a varchar.
Recently I had to modify the view to change the datatype (from numeric to varchar) of one of the columns used in binding.After the altered view was imported to the project, the rule shows an error "!1" when clicked upon.
Also I am unable to view the rule binding.I tried deleting the view but it shows "Some of the selected tables cannot be deleted because they are being used. (DPR-10109)" and nothing is displayed when drilled down.
Any pointers to resolve this issue will be much appreciated.

Export data to CSV error: Message Not Available

Metapedia Import and Export
When doing a new data dictionary you usually use spreadsheets and the like. Once completed and consolidated into one spreadsheet you want to then load it into Metapedia.
I have created custom columns on metapedia to match the spreadsheet columns, and when exporting the custome attributes are exported as well.
The problem is that the metapedia only imports the standard columns (NAME, CATEGORIES, DESCRIPTION, KEYWORDS, SYNONYMS, AUTHOR, STATUS, RELATED TERMS) all other columns are ignored.
Does anyone know of a way to import the custom attributes?

Data Insight Approver/Security Access issues in 4.2
After giving a user Data Insight Analyst level access, if that user opens a rule they did not author, they see a "view only" version of the rule, (see below), with only "Validate", "Test", and "Close" options.
However, in the documentation, the high-level definition of the Data Insight Analyst group suggests that they should be able to edit rules, with no mention that they must "own" them.
I also verified that the Data Insight Analyst group has the "Manage Rule" right in the CMC, which seems like it should allow a DIA member to edit any rule.
When I test the same situation (rule created by another user), it can be edited under version 4.1. I could not find anywhere in the 4.2 release notes that security changed. Is this intended functionality, that users can only edit rules they create? When I give the "Admin rule" right to the Data Insight Analyst group, I am able to edit rules from any other user, but it doesn't seem like a user should have to be a Data Insight Administrator to edit an unapproved rule authored by another user.
Additionally, when I import a rule (from a project in version 4.2 to a project in version 4.2) it comes in without an approver listed and an error (see below), even though it was fully validated and had an approver listed in the original project.

IS 4.2 : built-in reports ask for "Repository Login Information"

The built-in reports of IS 4.2 ask for the Repository Login Information.
This was not the case in IS 4.1 or lower.
How can you avoid this pop-up ?
