Creating view on table joining to same table

In Information Steward, we have a need to join a table to itself.

When you have a table with a parent child type relation of records.

Example:

SAP Basic Material Table MARA connect MATNR - Material to it's WRKST - Basic Material in MARA.

In IS 4.0, it seems you can only put a table in a View ONCE.

Optons?

1. We thought of creating 2 views on MARA table, however...

- Per  Note 1567219 - Are Views supported? - Data Insight "A view cannot be created on another view.

2. Create 2 connections to the same SAP ECC instance, but this seems clunky.

3. In the SAP ECC system create a DB View on MARA in SE10, but that again seems like work that we should be able to do in IS.

Any ideas on this?
