In the template for importing terms into Metapedia there are 2 columns where you can specify associate objects.
- Name Paths of Associated Objects
- Type Paths of Associated Objects
I have successfully managed to populate these in order to associate my terms with I.S. Fields
for example:
Name Path = "HANA\HANA\HANA\ECC\EKPO\MAHN1"
Type Path = "com.sap.icc.sdk.connection.internal.Connection\235\224\225\226\206"
The numbers in Type Path, are constants and serve to instruct metapedia how to interpret the namePath.
So no matter which field I address in the Name Path, the numbers in the Type Path do not change.
235 = "Server Instance"
224 = "Database"
225 = "Schema"
226 = "Table"
206 = "Field"
However, now I come to do the same operation but associating Terms with Rules.
This is where I am baffled.
I exported an existing Term to see how the Rules were associated.

From the above we can see that
"58" = Data insight,
"-1" = Approved
.... but where I had expected to see a constant number at the end denoting "Rule", there are instead individual numbers.
Checking other Terms associated to rules, it's the same across the board, the final number appears to be the id of the rule.
If this is the case I am snookered, because I have no way of knowing the internal number of each rule.
I even exported projects to XML and scoured through the rule & rulebinding XMLs to see if the ID was in there - but it is not.
If I cannot populate these, then it means we will have to manually associating each term with it's rules ..... and in the slow & clunky GUI, that is going to take days to do.
Any thought, help, pointers, suggestions welcome !!
I'd even be interested to know if anyone imports this way or not - do you create your entire metapedia manually through the GUI ?
